Shane Miley is a Wicklow-based multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersection of physical structure and sensory perception. A 2025 Fine Art graduate of NCAD, Miley’s practice is uniquely informed by synaesthesia, a sensory crossover where sound is perceived as colour and form.

His approach to abstraction is built on a diverse technical foundation. Early years spent practising stonemasonry instilled a permanent sense of form and weight, while time spent as a rescue diver in Egypt introduced him to the silence and hydrostatic pressure of the underwater world. These contrasting experiences of gravity and weightlessness now manifest in his work through geometric gradients and immersive, meditative structures.

Miley has exhibited across Ireland and internationally, with notable shows at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), The Art Riddler, and Hambly & Hambly in Northern Ireland. His work is held in private collections across Ireland, Europe, and the United States.
