Shane Miley is a Wicklow-based artist working across painting, drawing, and music. He builds his work rather than records it, reducing images and sound down before putting them back together as something new.
Miley has synaesthesia, perceiving sound as colour and form. It shapes how he sees colour, and it underpins a wider interest in how perception itself gets built and rebuilt through memory and attention.
He trained as a stonemason before studying Fine Art at NCAD, graduating in 2025, and worked as a rescue diver in Egypt. Both still surface in the work, in the weight of stone and the pressure of water below the surface.
His work has shown at IMMA, The Art Riddler, and Hambly & Hambly in Northern Ireland, and is held in private collections across Ireland, Europe and the US.
